The Jostedalsbreen National Park

The Jostedalsbreen National Park, founded in 1991, covers an area of 1.310 square kilometres. There are several large and small glaciers within the park boundaries. Of these, the Jostedalsbreen glacier is the largest in mainland Europe stretching for 487 square kilometres. The glacier divides two of the longest fjords in the world, the Sognefjorden and the Nordfjorden.
